What is the Cantonal Council for the Protection of Rights?


It is a collegiate body at the cantonal level made up of representatives of the State and civil society, in charge of preparing and proposing local policies, it has legal status under Public Law and organic, functional and budgetary autonomy, chaired by the Mayors who will be legal representatives. according to the norms and procedures established by each Gad within the framework of the general provisions approved by the National Council for Intergenerational Equality.


Mission.


Prepare proposals for public policies and local plans for the comprehensive protection of priority attention groups and work in a coordinated manner with public and private organizations and institutions, and civil society promoting coordination and joint responsibility, such as Mies and its specialized systems.


View.


Achieve compliance with the rights of priority attention groups with the gender, ethnic, intercultural, generational, disability and human mobility approaches; with the co-responsibility of the State, the family and society.


Strategic Objectives:

1.- Ensure the exercise, guarantee and enforceability of the rights of citizens who belong to the priority attention groups.

2.- Strengthen and promote a comprehensive system of special protection that guarantees the prevention, protection, care, reparation and restitution of the rights of victims of gender violence in an intersectoral manner.


Values:

Honesty: Make decisions for the benefit of priority attention groups of the Paltas canton.

Responsibility: Focus the effort to carry out our work effectively and efficiently, assuming our actions responsibly and in a humanistic way.

Loyalty: Public commitment in the development and advancement, change as public officials respecting the rights applying the due laws for the due knowledge of our department.

Girls, boys and adolescents.

Youths.

Older adults.

Pregnant women.

People with disabilities.

Human mobility.

Persons deprived of liberty.

Users and consumers.

People who suffer from catastrophic or highly complex diseases will receive priority and specialized care in the public or private spheres.


Our rights

Equality: I want to be respected, regardless of my religion, skin color, physical condition or where I live.

Identity: I need a name and surname to distinguish myself from other boys and girls.

Love: I want to live with my family, to take care of me, feed me and above all to love me.

Education: I have the right to receive an education and to have what I need to study.

Protection: I have the right to rest, play, have fun in a healthy and happy environment.

Quality of life: I need medical attention and to be taken care of when I am sick.

Solidarity: I have the right to decide what I think and what I feel.

Integration: I want to be able to meet other children.

Complaint: I have the right to be protected against cruelty, neglect and exploitation.

Help: I need to be educated in peace, tolerance and understanding.
